Reach is the first full length for this quintet hailing from hot Tempe, AZ. Sisters Alexia & Anissa Rodriguez started this band. Their name is derived from a poem that Alexia wrote in high school where she talked about a man and how his "eyes were set to kill". There are 3 songs that were re-recorded from their EP, When Silence Is Broken, The Night Is Torn since their original lead singer left the band and Alexia took over the lead vocal duties for the band. Now enough of the background stuff and let's get on to the music.

I think the first song entitled, "Intro" really made me think this would be a very melodic band and slower band, but boy was I wrong. "Intro" starts this album out with nice piano playing with guitar and a synth. This band did not go for the short intro song either as it goes on longer than most do. Then "Sketch in Black & White" takes off and the song just seem to continue with their catchy lyrics and choruses sung by Alexia. She has a very nice voice and with screaming support by Brandon Anderson, it really puts an interesting sound to Eyes Set To Kill. They remind me a little of Flee the Seen except no screaming by Alexia.

This is a true screamo band because they have to bring in the harder riffs as well as keeping it simple for the audience. I found myself bopping my head constantly to this album. I also think that the keyboards brought in an interesting aspect as well making it feel a little more like what Scary Kids Scaring Kids sounds like. They also decide to slow it down and start, "Young Blood Spills Tonight" with an acoustic guitar and Alexia singing and then it just goes back into a screamo sound. They do this perfect and I was truly blown away by Alexia's vocals.

This album is very good; I like the different sound of Alexia's voice. It sounds very innocent and the contrast of the screaming from Brandon will make anyone into this genre really want to take a listen. The catchy choruses will be in your head for weeks and weeks. It will be hard to put this record down.
