My Eschatology

This album has literally captured all of my musical attention as of late. I don't know if it's the current state of change I'm in, or what, but these songs are hitting home for me. Right now, this is my album of the year. I didn't think that Valencia could top We All Need a Reason to Believe, but they did with their latest, in my opinion. I know many of you don't agree, but that's how I feel. Shane Henderson has been, and probably always will be one of my favorite songwriters. Just some thoughts on the album. Oh yes, that's from an old Matchbox Twenty song. The words of Rob Thomas resonate and bring to the surface an all-too-familiar emotion; reacting to a real world experience as unflattering and overwhelming as an 80-hour work week. Late 90's alternative has absolutely been owning my iPod-usage, and for good reason. I'm STRESSED out! There's something about the genre that brings a kind of lasting reminiscence of more simple times when everything wasn't so chaotic. I think everyone can relate.
