Dear readers, It is with great pleasure today that we welcome you to the much improved Review Rinse Repeat. Over the past six months, we've watched the site grow considerably and in ways we couldn’t have imagined. In order to accommodate these changes, we felt that a new site was essential. We possess an unparalleled passion for what we do and we want the world to know about it! Thus, a new site is the first stepping stone as we head towards new frontiers. So, what's changed?

We have the natural inclination to place the artists we love on pedestals. What we often forget is that they are still human beings. On Thursday night, I had the honor of interviewing Soupy Campbell of The Wonder Years (interview will be up soon I promise!). More after the jump.

I've decided that since we have this fancy new site and all and you cant see any of my contribution to the site yet I figured I'd blog about any recent concerts I've been to and wether or not its worth it to check em out. Since this is the first one of these I'm doing ill start with my favorite band. Say Anything recently played on tour with Angels & Airwaves. Say Anything never disappoint. This was the 5th time I had seen them and they are always amazing. Angels & Airwaves on the other hand were unimpressive.

More than anything, I just want to know if this works. With the implementation of a whole new RRR, I think personal blogs for each of us staff here could be a really cool idea. If this posts, I will more than likely continue to come up with ideas to put here based in music and media. I'm very happy to be a part of RRR as it grows up, and I hope this blog section can become something regular to add to the content we already offer normally on the front page.

Hello out there! This is my first blog entry for RRR! Pretty cool, right?

I've always liked the idea of maintaining a blog, so we'll see how this goes.

Posting the first blog post is slightly intimidating. It's like you set the standards of all your upcoming posts. You pick your signature, you let people get a taste of style as a writer, etc.

I don't want this to be too lengthy, but I also don't want to ramble, so I think I'm going to end it here.

There have been many reunions this year such as the original lineup of Taking Back Sunday and Allister. However, the one I am probably most excited for is Yellowcard's.

If you've kept any sort of tab on music hype-trains lately (i.e. Pitchfork and some more Pitchfork and just an ounce of Pitchfork), you know exactly what I'm talking about when I refer to the resurgence of the "lol-fi," surf rock fad - we've seen it before (probably at your VFW or on a beach in Cali Cali), but with artists like Wavves and Best Coast again releasing slapdash comedies wrapped in egotistical, trend-savvy packages - armed with predictable Best New Music Statuses and an equally expected increase in sales - the scene is making an impact.

Oh yes, that's from an old Matchbox Twenty song. The words of Rob Thomas resonate and bring to the surface an all-too-familiar emotion; reacting to a real world experience as unflattering and overwhelming as an 80-hour work week. Late 90's alternative has absolutely been owning my iPod-usage, and for good reason. I'm STRESSED out! There's something about the genre that brings a kind of lasting reminiscence of more simple times when everything wasn't so chaotic. I think everyone can relate.
