I've decided that since we have this fancy new site and all and you cant see any of my contribution to the site yet I figured I'd blog about any recent concerts I've been to and wether or not its worth it to check em out. Since this is the first one of these I'm doing ill start with my favorite band. Say Anything recently played on tour with Angels & Airwaves. Say Anything never disappoint. This was the 5th time I had seen them and they are always amazing. Angels & Airwaves on the other hand were unimpressive. The first time I saw them was back in '05 with Taking Back Sunday and they were underwhelming, which I just chalked up to them being a new band. I think the problem is Tom is not a good front man if he doesn't have Mark to feed off of. The other problem is AvA are so computer programmed that live doesn't work for them. This is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt as I'm a huge Blink 182 fan. The next concert I went to after that was the Circa Survive and Coheed and Cambria tour. Circa Survive killed it, they are simply an amazing band and deserve all the good things that are happening to them. It was the hometown show for them so I'm sure they were playing extra hard and it really showed because it was an amazing performance. As for Coheed and Cambria while I'm not a huge fan they were enjoyable to watch they put on a good show and really had the crowd engaged so definitely go check both of those bands out they deserve your support. The final concert ill talk about here is the Terrible Things show I was lucky enough to go to in West Chester, Pa. This band is going to be huge every one needs to check em out now. I interviewed Fred before the show which got me so excited to see them play. As soon as they started I was blown away. Clearly these guys love what they do and have a blast doing it. I cant wait to hear their album because the songs they played live were phenomenal. Im not sure if this will be a weekly or biweekly thing but either way next time ill talk about Warped Tour and the amazing time I had there.
