Warped Tour 2010 is subject to much interest. It's an interesting day and age for music, with incoming and outgoing trends dominating the scene. So, what exactly does Warped Tour have in store for us in 2010? Well, we've previewed each stage, including interviews with some of that stage's artists, to let you know what you're in for at Warped. Here goes...
Altec Lansing Stage
Another new sponsored stage this year, Altec Lansing, are ready to become a fan-favorite stage with having bands like Pierce The Veil, Set Your Goals, and Hey Monday perform. They say they’re “all about great sound,” but you could also say that they’re all about great bands too. Read our mini-interviews with Parkway Drive and You Me At Six, two bands playing the Altec Lansing stage this year, as well as the line-up for bands that’ll be playing the stage throughout the tour.
Parkway Drive - Answered by Luke Kilpatrick
What was your first Warped Tour experience like?
My first ever Warped experience was actually in our home town, Byron Bay back in 1998. It was so weird for the fest to be there but so fucking good. Me and a few friends waded through a waist deep swamp and snuck in just before they put the fence up! Pennywise killed it.
What expectations do you have for playing the tour?
I have no idea. We're just about to release a new CD so hopefully kids like the new shit. If not, it might suck.
What are you hoping to take away from the Warped experience this year?
I'm bringing a scooter and want to disappear all day.
What bands are you most looking forward to seeing on Warped?
I would have to say Pennywise, Bouncing Souls, Face to Face and Green Jello.
Why should people check out your band on Warped Tour this year?
Cause Jeff looks 90 now (not 75 anymore) and if they like our shit, what better way to experience it that in the middle of the day with thousands of other sunburnt, sweaty teens?
You Me At Six - Answered by Matt Barnes
What was your first Warped Tour experience like?
It was amazing, we played half of it last year, a lot of people say it’s really hard work, it is and it isn’t at the same time you just have to man up and just get on with it, but at the end of the day we had the time of our lives.
What expectations do you have for playing the tour?
We never go expecting anything because if you don’t get what you expect it is disappointing, but I guess we are hoping to play to more people than we did last year and have a blast with our friends!
What are you hoping to take away from the Warped experience this year?
STD’s.
What bands are you most looking forward to seeing on Warped?
We’re all quite big metal fans so Parkway Drive is gonna be a big one for us, Bring Me The Horizon, and obviously Set Your Goals!
Why should people check out your band on Warped Tour this year?
We’re quite an energetic band so you can see us jump around like morons, that’s always funny to watch...

Four Year Strong (Playing 6/25-8/2)
Hey Monday
I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody’s Business

Alternative Press/Advent Clothing Stage
You may notice that the Smartpunk stage, which usually showcases bands that are on the edge of breaking out, will not be on Warped Tour this year. Instead, a new stage sponsored by Alternative Press and Advent Clothing will feature an array of bands like AP Tour alumni The Cab and NeverShoutNever as well as on-the-rise artists like Mike Posner and The Pretty Reckless. Read our mini-interview with Polar Bear Club, who will be playing the stage this year for a limited amount of time, as well as the line-up for bands that’ll be playing the stage throughout the tour.
Polar Bear Club - Answered by Jimmy Stadt
What was your first Warped Tour experience like?
I was supposed to work the Warped Tour as like a loader when I was fifteen but my parents wouldn't let me go.I remember really wanting to see Snapcase and Bad Religion. The first time I actually went was last year if you can believe that (does that make me a poser?)
What expectations do you have for playing the tour?
I think it's going to be a lot of fun and I'm not just saying that. Even if kids hate us we will be surrounded by so many friends. It's gonna be nuts.
What are you hoping to take away from the Warped experience this year?
I hope we get some new kids into us. Kids who may not know who we are. That's Warped Tour to me, a really fun showcase in a way.
What bands are you most looking forward to seeing on Warped?
Face to Face, Bouncing Souls, Andrew WK. Those are tops for me.
Why should people check out your band on Warped Tour this year?
We are different than most of the bands that's for sure. I think a lot of kids at warped have probably heard our name rumbling around but haven't checked us out. I hope they finally get around to it.
Bands Playing:
Anarbor
The Cab
The Casualties
Dirty Little Rabbits (Playing 7/20-8/5)

Glamour Kills Stage
After the whole “Nike owns Hurley therefore is indirectly competition for Vans shoes” dispute, Hurley stepped down from being a sponsor this year, and Glamour Kills has taken on the job of replacing them. Glamour Kills, a popular clothing brand with kids in the scene today, has big shoes to fill in replacing the Hurley and Hurley.com stages that called Warped Tour home for years. Read our mini-interviews with Attack Attack and The Summer Set, two bands playing the Glamour Kills stage this year, as well as the line-up for bands that’ll be playing the stage throughout the tour.
Attack Attack - Answered by Andrew Wetzel
What was your first Warped Tour experience like?
My first Warped tour experience was being on the actual tour with Attack Attack! in 2009. It was definitely an eye opening experience. Very humbling to play amongst bands that are far more successful than we were.
What expectations do you have for playing the tour?
I expect to have an awesome time. The rest of the band and I are going to have a fantastic time, and play some ridiculously sick shows.
What are you hoping to take away from the Warped experience this year?
We just want to leave this tour knowing that we played the best we could.
What bands are you most looking forward to seeing on Warped?
I'm pretty stoked to see Parkway Drive.
Why should people check out your band on Warped Tour this year?
We just released our new self titled record, and we're going to be tearing it up this year on stage.
The Summer Set - Answered by Josh Montgomery
What was your first Warped Tour experience like?
It was life changing. Being a little kid and walking into the counter-culture changed me. I snuck backstage and begged Lars from from Rancid to take me onstage and he was like "hell yea little buddy, follow me." Like I said, Life Changing.
What expectations do you have for playing the tour?
I don't expect anything from the tour, the success for us on this tour is soley up to us and we all realize that. It's our job to let ourselves be known and be the hardest working band on this tour, so the only expectations I have is for my band, my crew, and myself.
What are you hoping to take away from the Warped experience this year?
The same thing I hope to take from every tour, growth through experience. The only difference is this is no regular tour, I've been warned.. be afraid, be very afraid.
What bands are you most looking forward to seeing on Warped?
I'm stoked about Everclear, Agent Orange, and The Riverboat Gamblers. (no explanation necessary)
Why should people check out your band on Warped Tour this year?
The same reason people should checkout every other band on Warped tour, we're kids doing what we love and giving it all we got. It's that simple.
Bands Playing:
Alesana
Attack Attack
Artist Vs Poet
Enter Shikari (Playing 6/25-7/18)

Skullcandy Stage
Skullcandy is not only a cool brand, but they also have some up&coming bands playing their stage on Warped Tour this year. Featuring bands such as previous interviewees We Are The In Crowd and other on-the-rise bands like After Midnight Project, this is one stage you don't want to miss if you want in on what bands will be "the next big thing." Read our mini-interviews with AM Taxi and Breathe Electric, two bands playing the Skullycady stage this year, as well as the line-up for bands that’ll be playing the stage throughout the tour.
AM Taxi - Answered by Adam Krier
What was your first Warped Tour experience like?
Plenty of heat, sun, rain and loud music. I can't wait.
What expectations do you have for playing the tour?
We hope to make some new fans. The set times change everyday, so we could be playing for 20 people or 200 depending on when we play and where our stage is. But even if we get a small turn out, most of the people who go to Warped are excited to be there and looking for new music.
What are you hoping to take away from the Warped experience this year?
New friends, new fans, new ink, free vans and plenty of good stories.
What bands are you most looking forward to seeing on Warped?
Bouncing Souls, Deals Gone Bad, the Frantic.
Why should people check out your band on Warped Tour this year?
If Face to Face just finished playing and Alkaline Trio doesn't come on for another hour or so, come by our stage and see what we are all about. Enjoy some rock n roll without any strings attached. Hope to see ya soon!

Ernie Ball Stage
The Ernie Ball stage is back and better than ever, showcasing a vast assortment of bands like they do every year. From pop rock darlings Mayday Parade to the soulful singing of Johny Craig & co. in Emarosa, the Ernie Ball stage has it all. Read our mini-interviews with Closure In Moscow, Eyes Set To Kill, and Automatic Love Letter, three bands playing the Ernie Ball stage this year, as well as the line-up for bands that’ll be playing the stage throughout the tour.
Closure In Moscow - Answered by Brad Kimber
What was your first Warped Tour experience like?
Brad: Well actually, our very first warped tour experience will be the first show of this year's Warped Tour. So we are all pretty excited to see what all the fuss is about. Actually, I do recall Warped Tour coming to Australia a fair few years ago now but I don't think any of us went.
What expectations do you have for playing the tour?
We're definitely expecting to be able to play to a much wider audience than we ever have before. We've toured in the States previously but never anything close to this scale. Also, definitely expecting to be pretty loose and tired.
What are you hoping to take away from the Warped experience this year?
My sanity.
What bands are you most looking forward to seeing on Warped?
Personally I'm looking forward to watching Dillinger Escape Plan, Akaline Trio, Parkway Drive, Enter Shikari, Bring Me The Horizon, Antiflag, Andrew W.K
Why should people check out your band on Warped Tour this year?
Because I feel that we offer something completely distinct from all the other bands on the tour.
Eyes Set To Kill - Answered by Alexia Rodriguez
What was your first Warped Tour experience like?
The first warped tour we played was in 2007. We one the battle of the bands on the ernie ball stage, and got to play a week on warped tour. It was our best experience on tour! warped has been a goal for us and for a long time too. We just finished our last record so we are fortunate to get the whole warped tour with out a label. We have been working our asses off so we are thrilled that our dreams are finally coming true.
What expectations do you have for playing the tour?
I think with every tour that we begin we try not to set any expectations and just go into it with a clean mindset. We're a really laid back band and were not picky or high maintenance at all so we just roll with the punches. Since the band had already did a portion of Warped previously I'm sure we have some sort of an idea of what to expect without expecting too much. Touring is always an eventful thing to be a part of cause you just never know whats going to come up next, especially on Warped Tour.
What are you hoping to take away from the Warped experience this year?
New friendships & making old relationships stronger. We're friends with alot of the bands playing this year so it'll be super crazy fun to be able to reconnect with them and make new friends with bands we'll eventually end up meeting. We also want to give our fans the best ESTK show they've seen to date so we're making sure we do our part in making it an awesome & eventful 30 min set.
What bands are you most looking forward to seeing on Warped?
I am looking forward to seeing the bands on the Ernie ball stage like Closure in Moscow, Mayday Parade, Automatic Love Letter, and Emarosa. The ernie ball stage seems very diverse this year so we are really excited to be apart of it this year.
Why should people check out your band on Warped Tour this year?
We are something refreshingly new, not to toot my own horn. I just feel like a lot of bands do know how to be different, but they let their fear get the best of them. We are definitely not for everybody, but we are writing music that know one has the guts to write.
Automatic Love Letter - Answered by Juliet Simms
What was your first Warped Tour experience like?
Well, on my first Warped, I was sleeping in the lounge in the back of Cute Is What We Aim For's bus for four days while playing acoustic sets at any tent that would have me. It was a spontaneous and spur of the moment thing. But all in all, I had a great time... but couldn't wait for a real pillow to rest my head on.
What expectations do you have for playing the tour?
I expect it to be my greatest summer to date!
What are you hoping to take away from the Warped experience this year?
A few scrapes, bruises and a tan… a lot more fans and even better relationships with the OG fans:) and tons of new friends!
What bands are you most looking forward to seeing on Warped?
I’m really looking forward to Andrew W.K, All American Rejects, Mayday Parade, Motion City Soundtrack, The Rocket Summer, Versa Emerge, We The Kings and more...
Why should people check out your band on Warped Tour this year?
They should check us out to avoid Automatic Atomic Wedgies for missing us!!

Kevin Says Stage
It just wouldn’t be Warped Tour without the Kia Kevin Says Stage. Kevin knows how to pick a band with the potential to be huge, and although you may have never heard of some or all of the bands playing the stage this year, make sure to make a mental note, because you will be bound to hear their name one day. Bands like My Chemical Romance even started on this stage...That should be enough to convince you to give these bands a chance. Read our mini-interview with Kelsey And The Chaos and Motionless In White, two bands that are playing the Kevin Says stage this year, as well as the line-up for bands that’ll be playing the stage throughout the tour.
Kelsey And The Chaos - Answered by Kelsey Merrit
What was your first Warped Tour experience like?
Our first experience on Warped was in 2009 and we played both the East Coast Independent and ShiraGirl Stages. It was quite a challenge because it was the first tour we'd ever done as a band. Warped Tour is pretty intense so it broke us into touring pretty quickly.
What expectations do you have for playing the tour?
Our expectations for Warped Tour this year are making plenty of new fans, meeting and making new friends and of course kicking ass on stage every day!
What are you hoping to take away from the Warped experience this year?
We are hoping to take away a lot of fun memories and hopefully have gained a bunch of new, awesome fans.
What bands are you most looking forward to seeing on Warped?
There are so many great bands on Warped this summer. We all have different bands we'd like to see: Andrew W.K., The All American Rejects, Sum 41
Why should people check out your band on Warped Tour this year?
People should check out my band on Warped Tour because I feel like we're ready to show people what we have to offer. We have a ton of great new material we're looking very forward to showing off. We absolutely love talking to fans and hanging out so definitely come say hi! See ya at the show :)
Motionless In White - Answered by Chris Cerulli
What was your first Warped Tour experience like?
I know this doesnt make sense but It was exactly what I expected and at the same time, nothing like I expected. I've been going to Warped for a long time before we got to play but when you're actually playing it's a lot different. We didnt expect as many people to watch us as they did and we did really good on merch for no one really knowing who we were at that time. It felt like our first real breakthrough into the crowd we were trying to reach and I was the happiest person alive.
What expectations do you have for playing the tour?
Actually, I don't really ever expect anything with any shows we play, especially warped tour dates. I always just take everything as it comes and just be in the moment and that way I appreciate it a lot more for what it is. If I had to say something though I guess it would be that being we are becoming more and more known as a band, I would expect that at least this year some people will be up front singing the words with us instead of JUST watching. Either way i'll be thrilled just to be playing.
What are you hoping to take away from the Warped experience this year?
A killer tan! I just want to walk away from it feeling accomplished. Everything we are as a band we want to share with our fans and if I can leave warped knowing that somenone watched us and connected with us and the things I'm saying then thats more than enough for me. The last time we played on Warped was the reason we got signed to The Artery Foundation which later lead to Fearless Records. That was the most unreal thing for us ever and it wouldnt have been possible without Warped Tour.
What bands are you most looking forward to seeing on Warped?
Andrew WK for sure! I've never seen him before and I expect that his performance will be crazy.Other than him.. Alkaline Trio, Suicide Silence and Sum 41.
Why should people check out your band on Warped Tour this year?
I'll break that up into two parts. If you are already aware of our band and know our material then you should definitely come hear the new songs we will be playing since its been almost two years since we've played a new song live and we wanted to wait to debut them at Warped. And if you've never heard of us before, then you should check us out because if you like a lot of the other heavier bands playing this year.. I promise that you will like us! We've got something for everyone.
