We are currently seeking to hire staff in the following positions.

Writer

We are currently seeking to add to our team of writ­ers. We are par­tic­u­larly interested in either a genre specialist for punk or metal, or some­one that is versatile. 

Requirements:

- Being able to write to a high stan­dard

- Being able to con­tribute at least five arti­cles a month

- Having a com­pre­hen­sive knowl­edge and under­stand­ing of the genre(s) you would be focused on

- Being devoted and com­mit­ted in help­ing us cre­ate and develop a grow­ing com­mu­nity

- Being pro­fes­sional and trustworthy

News Editor

We are seek­ing some­body who would like to join our staff team, report­ing musi­c-related news to our readers. The position is fairly simple, and is appropriate for those who wish to gain some experience working for a music publication.

Requirements:

- Being able to write to a high stan­dard

- Being online reg­u­larly and often

- Being able to con­tribute at least six news arti­cles a day

- Being inde­pen­dent, inno­v­a­tive and resource­ful in your work, col­lat­ing the lat­est news, and dis­cern­ing rel­e­vance

- Being devoted and com­mit­ted in help­ing us cre­ate and develop a grow­ing com­mu­nity

- Being pro­fes­sional and trust­wor­thy

Interviewer

We are looking for someone that is able to arrange, write, and execute interviews. Our interviews are formulaic to an extent, but a large degree of customization expertise is required for all interviews.

Requirements:

- Being able to write to a high stan­dard

- Being skilled, con­fi­dent, and will­ing to work with a range of clients, includ­ing record labels, PR Agencies, and artists, to arrange a range of var­i­ous fea­tures

- Being able to con­tribute at least three interviews per week

- Having excellent research and communication skills

- Having an extensive and com­pre­hen­sive knowl­edge of music

- Being devoted and com­mit­ted in help­ing us cre­ate and develop a grow­ing com­mu­nity

- Being pro­fes­sional and trustworthy

Photographer

We are not currently seeking to add to our photography team, as we have representatives at major locations (New York, Texas, Philadelphia, California) already. If you do not reside near these locations, then feel free to apply, as we are interested in expanding our geographical reach.

You must be pas­sion­ate about both music and pho­tog­ra­phy. We will pro­vide photo-passes for all con­certs.

Requirements:

- Having appro­pri­ate equip­ment - specif­i­cally a dig­i­tal sin­gle lens reflex cam­era (DSLR)

- Having expe­ri­ence with pho­tog­ra­phy - con­cert pho­tog­ra­phy expe­ri­ence is pre­ferred, but not essen­tial

- Being able to take pho­tographs under often tough con­di­tions (low light with peo­ple mov­ing quickly)

- Being able and will­ing to attend at least three con­certs a month

- Having geo­graph­i­cal access to venues

- Being will­ing to pro­mote your work, and the web­site

- Being devoted and com­mit­ted in help­ing us cre­ate and develop a grow­ing com­mu­nity

- Being a pro­fes­sional and trust­wor­thy representative

Social Networking Coordinator

We are seek­ing some­body who is highly famil­iar and pro­fi­cient with the effec­tive use of social networks

Requirements:

- Being famil­iar and expe­ri­enced with Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr

- Being able to main­tain our cur­rent net­works, while both expand­ing our cur­rent net­works and cre­at­ing new ones.

- Being devoted and com­mit­ted in help­ing us cre­ate and develop a grow­ing com­mu­nity

- Being able to coor­di­nate com­pe­ti­tions via these net­works

- Being inno­v­a­tive and resource­ful in your work

- Being a pro­fes­sional and trust­wor­thy rep­re­sen­ta­tive for the site

- Note that this is a daily commitment

UK Coordinator

We are seek­ing some­body that has exten­sive knowl­edge of British music, and would be com­mit­ted in devel­op­ing our cov­er­age of British material.

Requirements:

- Being located in the United Kingdom, with exten­sive knowl­edge of mod­ern British music

- Being skilled, con­fi­dent, and will­ing to work with a range of clients, includ­ing record labels, PR Agencies, and artists, to arrange a range of var­i­ous fea­tures

- Being able to effec­tively develop and man­age a small team of staff, and coor­di­nate con­tent

- Being able to write to a high stan­dard

- Being inde­pen­dent, inno­v­a­tive and resource­ful in your work

- Being devoted and com­mit­ted in help­ing us cre­ate and develop a grow­ing com­mu­nity

- Being a pro­fes­sional and trust­wor­thy rep­re­sen­ta­tive for the site

- Note that this is a daily commitment
